Mank (Featuring M.N. Miller)

On the 156th episode of Piecing It Together, M.N. Miller from Ready Steady Cut joins me to talk about David Fincher’s Mank, out now on Netflix. The story of Herman J. An American Pickle (Featuring Jason Harris)

On the 139th episode of Piecing It Together, Jason Harris from Awesome Movie Year returns to the podcast to cover a movie we mentioned in our August 2020 Trailers Special Episode, the Seth Rogen star vehicle An American Pickle. It’s very jewy, but unfortunately not very good. But we had a great time talking about it. Puzzle pieces include Adaptation, To Dust, Borat and Being There.

Antkind: A Novel (Featuring Kris Krainock)

On the 137th episode of Piecing It Together, we do something that we’ve never done before… Cover a book! Directed by Alma Har’el from a story written by LaBeouf about his own life, and starring him as his own father… It’s a weird one. And a great one. Puzzle pieces include Private Parts, Adaptation, American Honey and Birdman.

On the 61st episode of Piecing It Together, Bee Garner from Filmotomy and JumpCut Online joins me to talk about the polarizing Under The Silver Lake. After an iffy premiere at Cannes, distributor A24 got cold feet, allowing it to leak online, then delaying it over and over until David Robert Mitchell’s follow-up to It Follows was dumped to VOD. Which sucks. Because it’s a cult classic in the making. Puzzle pieces include The Big Lebowski, They Live, Burn After Reading and Rear Window.
