On the 70th episode of Piecing It Together, an old friend from summer camp where we used to discuss horror movies all night joins me to discuss the remake of one of those now classics… Child’s Play. Yes Chucky the killer doll is back, but as you’ll find from our conversation, this isn’t the same Chucky from the old movies. Puzzle pieces include It, A.I., King Kong and Avengers: Age of Ultron.
On the 66th episode of Piecing It Together, new co-host Susannah Lewis joins me to discuss the final movie in the decades long X-Men universe, Dark Phoenix. With the recent Disney buy out, this really will be the end for the beloved by some, loathed by others X-Men series that started way back in 2000. Puzzle pieces include the series own X-Men: The Last Stand, as well as Avengers: Endgame, Terminator 2, and Firestarter.
On the 52nd episode of Piecing It Together, James Baker from Pop Cult Net joins me to discuss the 21st entry in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Captain Marvel. Brie Larson stars as the bad-ass superhero with the power to finally stop the ultimate bad guy Thanos in Avengers Endgame… Coming soon to a theater near you. Puzzle pieces include Wonder Woman, Rocky, The Matrix and Eternal Sunshine Of The Spotless Mind.
On the 45th episode of Piecing It Together, I’m joined by Chad Clinton Freeman for a special kind of episode we’ve never really done before… It’s both a Piecing It Together of 2018’s Halloween, and a Breaking It Apart of 1978’s original Halloween. While coming up with our puzzle pieces for the new one, we realized that all the movies that inspired it, were themselves inspired by the original, so we thought this would make for a fun episode. Puzzle pieces include Scream, Happy Death Day and Mean Girls.
On the 12th episode of Piecing It Together, we’re back with a break from giant superhero movies to focus on a more personal story featuring heartfelt themes and moving drama… Just kidding, we’re talking about Deadpool 2, the raunchy, violent, bloody action-comedy superhero sequel starring Ryan Reynolds as the Merc with the mouth and a great expanded cast featuring Josh Brolin, TJ Miller, and Zazie Beetz. After the first Deadpool came out of nowhere and set all kinds of records, this sequel had a lot to live up to, and we get deep into whether or not it did the series justice. Puzzle pieces include Shoot Em’ Up, Spaceballs, Terminator 2 and Problem Child.
